Multiple chemical sensitivity seen from physiological and genetic properties of human populations affected by chemical stress

چکیده
1.143 (41.6 percent) of all 2.746 patients (visitors of my practise in Hamburg) between January 2000 and December 2003 answered a validated questionnaire about chemical symptoms called “modified QEESI”. The primary aim was the measurement and documentation of the scores of the first ten items named “sensitizing capabilities of chemicals” (SCC). Then without any medical information the molecularbiologist Dr. Eckart Schnakenberg (university of Bremen, director of the “Institute for Pharmacogenetics and Genetic Disposition” IPGD) analyzed the gene variants of the enzymes N-acetyltransferase 2, glutathione S-transferase M1, glutathione S-transferase T1. The single nucleotide polymorphisms of these genes of phase II in xenobiotic metabolism was analysed for 861 patients. After exclusion because age <20 years or age >90 years, psychiatrical and/or neurological diseases and ethnical causes remained 800 caucasian individuals for the casecontrol-study.

QSAR models to predict physico-chemical Properties of some barbiturate derivatives using molecular descriptors and genetic algorithm- multiple linear regressions
In this study the relationship between choosing appropriate descriptors by genetic algorithm to the Polarizability (POL), Molar Refractivity (MR) and Octanol/water Partition Coefficient (LogP) of barbiturates is studied. The chemical structures of the molecules were optimized using ab initio 6-31G basis set method and Polak-Ribiere algorithm with conjugated gradient within HyperChem 8.0 environ...
متن کاملChemical Mutagen Effect on Physiological Properties of Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni under Salt Stress
The present study was performed to evaluate the effects of different concentrations of ethyl methane sulfonate (0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.5%) on some physiological characteristics of regenerated plants from calli of stevia at 30, 60 and 120 min under various levels of salinity stress (0, 50 and 100 mM of NaCl). This experiment was carried out based on completely randomized two-factorial designs with th...
متن کاملEffect of Drought Stress Levels on Seedling Morpho-physiological Traits of Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) Populations grown in Glasshouse
In order to study the effect of drought stress on seedling morpho-physiological traits of alfalfa (Medicago sativa), the seeds of ten populations were collected in their natural habitats from different parts of the Fars province, Iran in 2013. A factorial experiment was conducted using 10 alfalfa populations and four water stress treatments of 100, 75, 50, and 25% Field Capacity (FC) b...

Ferulago angulata subsp. carduchorum (Boiss. & Hausskn.) D.F. Chamb is a perennial species of the family Apiaceae and is locally used as a flavouring agent and for some medicinal properties. The essential oil of this plant if found to possess antibacterial and antifungal activities. The present study is aimed to determine constituents of essential oils from inflorescence of four F. angulata sub...
متن کاملAnalysis of the Physicochemical Properties and Grain Yield of Some Rice Promising Lines From Multiple Crosses
Grain quality currently represents a major problem in high yielding rice production in Iran and many other rice producing areas of the world. Quality assessment of rice involves the function of sensory tests and physicochemical determinations based on the chemical composition, cooking quality, gelatinization temperature and physical properties of cooked rice. These research genetic materials we...
